About
I'm a Tempe native, community builder, and longtime advocate for creativity, sustainability, and public service.
Why I’m Running for Tempe City Council
My decision to run for Tempe City Council in 2026 stems from a lifelong commitment to my hometown and a deep belief in local democracy.
I'm bringing a practical builder’s mindset, two decades of leadership, and a collaborative approach grounded in lived experience to city governance.
I believe Tempe’s greatest strength is its people.
“When neighbors come together with care, honesty, and creativity, there is nothing we cannot build.”
My platform priorities are:
Affordability and common sense reasoning.
Strong support for public schools.
Sustainability and climate resilience.
Community safety rooted in compassion.
Expanding transparency and access to voting.
My Tempe Roots & Core Values
I was born and raised right here in Tempe, growing up in a household centered on service and education.
My values were shaped by my parents—my mother served as Director of Disability Resources at ASU, and my father spent his life teaching and mentoring students with visual impairments.
I also carry the legacy of my grandfathers, both Purple Heart veterans.
These experiences instilled in me the core values of compassion, inclusion, and civic responsibility, which continue to guide every aspect of my work today.
I still live on the same street as my parents near ASU, surrounded by the community that raised me.
My Hands-On Impact: The Builder's Mindset
For the past decade, I've worked with The Walter Project, currently serving as the Shop & Fabrication Manager at The Walter Hive, our nonprofit makerspace. In this role, I get to use a builder's mindset to create community assets.
I lead welding and fabrication programs and develop arts-based curriculum for youth and at-risk communities, supporting hundreds of local artists, students, and volunteers each year.
My work is all about hands-on learning, creativity, mentorship, and economic opportunity for underserved groups.
Beyond the Hive, I’m a creative professional who spans multiple disciplines, including public art, festival production, and youth education.
I've collaborated with ASU’s School of Sustainability, local school districts, Pensar Academy, and numerous Tempe businesses and nonprofits.
I'm focused on bringing people together across backgrounds to turn ideas into lasting impact.
My Dedication to Sustainability
I am a lifelong environmental advocate, and I believe climate action must be practical. I've spearheaded sustainability initiatives across multiple Walter Project venues, focusing on waste reduction, composting, reusable systems, and circular-economy approaches.
This work has led to strong partnerships with local recyclers, emerging businesses, and sustainability coalitions, all dedicated to reducing landfill waste and expanding practical, sustainable practices at large community events.
