Expand and Free Public Transit:
Expedite streetcar expansion (especially to the Public Library) and make it free for all. Expand the Free Orbit bus system.Invest in Active Mobility:
Immediately invest in physically protected bike lanes, street calming, more shade, and bike infrastructure (lockers, showers).Increase Safety:
Champion Vision Zero efforts and advocate for roundabouts wherever possible to reduce collisions. Invest in separated bike lane street sweepers.Equity Programs:
Implement low-income micro-mobility (scooters, bikes) and car share programs.New Development Requirements:
Drastically expand transit bike requirements (TRP's) for new developments.Community Events:
Drastically expand Open Streets Tempe for monthly street closures for bikes and pedestrians.

Increase Supply:
Support the city's current middle housing plan and advocate for more multi-family overlays.Rent Stabilization:
Require low-income, rent-stabilized units in all new multi-family developments greater than 10 units.Tax Reform:
Revise property tax ordinances to progressively tax single-family investment properties.ASU Partnership:
Work with ASU to increase university-owned, multi-unit options to prevent neighborhoods from becoming single-family dormitories.Developer Incentives:
Offer tax incentives for developers who build new low/middle income single-family homes.

Public School Funding:
Invest more resources into Tempe public schools, support higher teacher salaries, and oppose ESA vouchers.Student Support:
Introduce legislation to enhance public schools by covering teacher classroom expenses, providing social services, and updating campuses.Scholarships:
Support a city scholarship for lifelong Tempe residents graduating from a Tempe public high school.Library Access:
Introduce legislation to automatically enroll Tempe residents in the public library system via virtual library cards and increase library funding.

Sanctuary City Status:
Take every possible measure to effectively make Tempe a sanctuary city for immigrants.End ICE Coordination:
End all local police coordination with ICE and implement rules prohibiting local law enforcement from participating in federal raids or detaining immigrants based solely on immigration status.Repeal SB 1070:
Actively lobby the state legislature to repeal SB 1070.

Renewable Energy:
Introduce legislation to place solar panels on all publicly owned buildings.Water Conservation:
Introduce legislation for strict limits on water use for the maintenance of non-native plants and corporate luxury developments.Green Policy Advocacy:
Fight for an Arizona Green New Deal and support the repeal of preemptions that prevent municipalities from enforcing green building codes and establishing solar power programs.

Introduce legislation for pro-worker and pro-union victories through:Neutrality agreements
Prevailing wage laws
1099 misclassification prevention
Heat protections
Punishment of wage theft and tip stealing

Increase City Taxes (Based on Bobby's Proposal):
Increase city transaction-privilege taxes (city taxes) by 2% on corporate development/construction, hotels/motels/short-term rentals, and commercial property leasing.Earmark Funds:
Legally earmark the increased revenue for shelters, services, and permanent supportive housing.
